Gracious God, send your Holy Spirit to deepen our worship life. Open our hearts to the gifts and cultures which surround our church. Open our hearts to the people who are different from us. In Jesus' name...Amen!

Prayer for Father’s Day
O God, our Father, pour
your blessings on human fathers today.
We
pray for the fathers who accompany us through our lives, leading and guiding us
through the process of growing up.
We
pray for fathers who comfort and encourage their children.
We
pray for fathers who teach and play with their children.
We
pray for fathers who struggle to provide for their families and to balance
responsibilities at home and at work.
We
pray that fathers may be loving and trustworthy companions of their spouses and
partners, sharing the joys and challenges of parenthood.
We
pray for those who are about to become fathers, that they may delight in their
children and become faithful and loving mentors for their sons and daughters.
We
pray for all those who father us,
mentoring
and guiding and loving those in need of fathering.
We
pray for grandfathers, whose years of fathering deepen the wisdom and love that
they share with the next generation.
We
pray for our fathers who live on in our memory even in death,
still
nurturing us with love.
May
fathers everywhere be blessed and strengthened for the task
of
loving and guiding your children.
Amen.
